This was that, but instead of hiking/cycling, you’re studying Spanish. Pug Seal Hotel — 5. I can’t say enough about this hotel. The Fluenz instructors – 5. Charming, supportive, and great at what they do. The dining – 4.5. Terrific choices, albeit the number of formal dining/group meals was time-consuming and sometimes the amount of eating a bit overwhelming.”

One of the best dinners that I have ever was on the last night of our program at a restaurant called Criollo. “Accommodations – as in MC – were elegant, slightly artsy, comfortable, and run by warm and accommodating personnel. What was unique to being in Oaxaca was that the city is more easily navigable – even by foot. At no time did we feel unsafe or unable to venture out by ourselves. Oaxaca feels in many ways like a small town , only with better restaurants. Food was diverse and excellent. Don’t even start me on the moles!”

“A private driver arranged by Fluenz was waiting for me at the airport, and drove me to the beautiful, small boutique hotel that was my home for the week. The hotel staff was attentive and made me feel like a special guest. Fluenz provides this superb language experience in wonderful locations, Oaxaca in this instance. We dined at some outstanding restaurants and had a private tour of Monte Albán, a large pre-Columbian archaeological site.”
