First, I would highly recommend starting with a package of 5 or so online classes prior to the start of the immersion so that you can get a sense of their pedagogical approach. I felt like this super-charged my learning going into the week and helped me get to know the teaching staff a bit before I arrived. In fact, their approach involves precise coordination of the instructors and a hour-by-hour monitoring of the teaching plan, tailoring it to what each student was needing in order to optimize the time spent in classes. I never felt that a teacher didn’t know precisely where I was in my learning process. What’s more, there were many times in which they would remind me of a small detail from our conversations, from a subtle error that I made to a random detail of my life. It’s highly impressive that they offer this level of attention, and I think this is what makes this talented team so effective.”

“In every outing, every one-on-one Spanish class and all of the group classes, as well– so much thought and care was put in by the Fluenz staff. Personalized touches were somehow at every turn, even as the staff juggled a roster of 22 students, its largest ever. Both of our experiences were spot-on, choreographed with care, intention and specificity for our differing levels.”

“Classes were one on one and group. If I had to criticize one thing, it would be that there should have been a better balance of one on one instruction across the group. I was grouped every afternoon whereas others were not. I thought by the last day an effort should have been made to make sure I and the one other student who were grouped got one last one on one.”

“The teachers were all attentive to where I was with my language learning and adapted classes daily to my level. I really appreciated the fact that they worked with all of us students at each of our different levels. The teachers all knew HOW to teach, pushing me further, yet encouraging me along the way.
