Three 90-minute Zoom sessions—two before arrival establishing foundations, one afterward consolidating gains—support beginners throughout the experience. Those seeking to learn Spanish in Mexico City as complete beginners find this personalized approach produces substantial communication abilities within five days.

This is a review from TripAdvisor:

This is not a trip that will make you fluent in Spanish in a week; that is impossible. However, it will push you further and make you think deeply about all the grammar and vocabulary you already know or that you learn while there. The lessons were intense at times, that is for sure. If you put a lot into it (before, during, and after), you will get a lot out of it.

When you get there they will have someone to greet you at the airport, who will then take you to your driver. The trip to the hotel is about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. The hotel we stayed at, Pug Seal Anatole France, was charming and well situated in the Polanco area. The staff made the stay even more special. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the attendants at the desk and the waiters are. So friendly and eager to help. The waiters were always patient with me as I tried to speak Spanish with them each morning.

Monday morning the classes start. Each day we would have two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon, each with a 5-10 minutes break. Some students either had their private in the morning and group in the afternoon, but others had the reverse. Also, it changed during the week. I started out with my group in the morning for the first few days, but then finished with my group being in the afternoon. They try to pair you with students who are of a similar level as you, which is nice.

Each day one of my classes was outside of the hotel, so we would have a 10 minute walk to the other location. The coach would speak Spanish the entire time, and I did my best to reply only in Spanish. Same for the walk back. At lunch you can sit at the Spanish table, if you get there in time. If not, you’re relegated to the English table because the Spanish one was full; I was fine with either.

Four hours of Spanish (and sometimes more if you count lunch) may not sound like a lot but it is. By mid-week, my head was feeling very full. On Thursday morning I hit a wall and shed tears during my morning class. It was very stressful and upsetting because I was afraid I would end up leaving on Saturday with that same feeling. Thankfully during my group session in the afternoon I was able to get back in the grove and end the day with success.

I did not leave until Saturday morning, so I had all Friday afternoon and evening to wander around the Polanco neighborhood. It was a little alarming because I could not seem to string together three words in Spanish the whole afternoon. I kept reassuring myself it was only because my brain was tired. The next day, with a good nights sleep, my Spanish returned, thankfully, because I was able to talk with the driver all the way to the airport (in Spanish only), shop for souvenirs (in Spanish), and order food (in Spanish) at the airport.

This trip was expensive but definitely worth it. I am already trying to work out how I can make another one happen next year.
