Sylvia arrived with minimal knowledge. “I didn’t know any Spanish other than the most basic, obvious words.” If she were naturally talented at languages, she would have already learned Spanish before immersion. She wasn’t—she attended immersion and progressed dramatically. “I can’t believe how quickly I progressed during the week.” Not talented—properly taught.
