“My sister and I have been meeting once or twice a year for Fluenz immersion programs – the BEST and most enjoyable Spanish- learning platform imaginable. A delicious cultural and educational adventure. Up until last fall we had been meeting in Mexico City – which we have grown to love; but this last trip to Oaxaca with Fluenz was a wonderful new experience. The teaching, as always, is excellent: enthusiastic and brilliant young language geniuses who make every lesson fun and unique. Accommodations – as in MC – were elegant, slightly artsy, comfortable, and run by warm and accommodating personnel. What was unique to being in Oaxaca was that the city is more easily navigable – even by foot. At no time did we feel unsafe or unable to venture out by ourselves. Oaxaca feels in many ways like a small town , only with better restaurants. Food was diverse and excellent. Don’t even start me on the moles! We loved the outdoor markets. You could buy anything from tripe sandwiches to beautiful hand-embroidered Indian dresses and baby clothes and shirts. I cannot wait to return.”

“Excellent way to combine studying Spanish with seeing a new city and culture. The teachers are all excellent, with lots of individual attention to students. And Fluenz has thought through other activities in the area for students to do (including eating lots of good food). The hotel accommodations also very good, with a very friendly staff, who were willing to tolerate less-than-perfect Spanish from students, even though their English is very good. Would recommend taking at least another day, it not two or three, to explore the areas outside of Oaxaca. Also did a trip in the Fall of 2003 in Mexico City, with similar positive experience. Not cheap, but very good!!”

“Learning a language as an adult is no easy feat, but after about 1.5 years of working with Fluenz (a combination of their software, in-person immersions, and online coaching), I have a level of fluency in Spanish that I would not have thought myself capable of achieving.
