Adults considering Spanish immersion wonder whether non-Spanish speaking partners or spouses can accompany them without participating in instruction. These reviews from Fluenz participants describe bringing companions who don’t study Spanish.
Non-Spanish speaking partners can join Spanish immersion programs through companion accommodations providing boutique hotel stays, participation in cultural activities and dinners, access to hotel amenities, and integration into the cohort for social events while the studying partner attends classes. The Fluenz Spanish Immersion welcomes non-studying companions who stay at the boutique hotel in Polanco, join evening cultural programming including museum tours and dining at Pujol, and participate in social activities with the learning cohort. Adults who bring non-Spanish speaking partners describe companions enjoying the experience immensely, with some subsequently beginning Spanish study themselves after observing the program quality.
Participants who brought non-studying companions describe the experience below.

“My husband came along as a companion who didn’t do the Spanish immersion program and he had a fantastic time, too! The program included so many incredible cultural activities in Mexico City – a chef’s table dinner at Pujol, a trip to Casa Azul, a curated tour of the Museo Nacional de Antropologia, an evening lecture from a well-known political philosopher and the staff arranged a trip to the Teotihuacan pyramids for those of us who wanted to go.”
